Burning

Luke 24: 32

They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road”

What is the experience of God like?

Not the idea of God. Not the following of God’s commandments. Not the talking of God or the reading of the Bible. I’m asking, what is it like to experience the felt presence of God.

Have you ever experienced His presence?

How would you describe the taste of honey to someone who has never tried it? How would you describe the scent of a rose to someone who’s never smelled one? Or describe standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon to someone who’s never been there.

There are things in life which must be experience to become real and the presence of God is one of these things. If your answer is no, that you have never experienced God’s presence, my next question is, have you ever asked God to feel His presence?

Have you made time and opened your heart to Him, that His presence may burn with you?

Take that time now. Ask, Open, Receive. Repeat.
